This includes the city and state where each patient lived, the names of the abortion providers, and the identities of nearly every person who helped the patients access abortion care.Earlier this month, Jonathan Mitchell — himself not a Texan but based in Washington state — served requests to nine Texas abortion funds and one Texas doctor. The brazen attempt to acquire sensitive information about abortion patients and the funds that assist them is a disturbing turn in the ongoing legal battle over Texas’s six-week abortion ban.In August of last year, a coalition of abortion funds and doctors filed a class acti...Uneven Dortmund holds on with 10 men to beat Hoffenheim 3-1 in the Bundesliga

SINSHEIM, Germany (AP) — Borussia Dortmund held on with 10 men to beat Hoffenheim 3-1 in the Bundesliga on Friday but it was another unconvincing win ahead of a potentially crucial Champions League game against AC Milan. The win put Dortmund top of the table — though only until other teams play Saturday — but the game continued a pattern of Dortmund edging wins in tight games after giving its opponents plenty of chances. Some Dortmund players were clearly frustrated as Ramy Bensebaini was sent off for a second booking after kicking the ball away at a routine throw-in in the 71st minute with the score 2-1. Marco Reus had scored Dortmund’s second goal but was later booked for throwing a water bottle onto the field from the bench.Dortmund coach Edin Terzic acknowledged Thursday that his team was struggling to find its “magic” and key figures at Dortmund have spoken of needing to get over losing the Bundesliga title to Bayern Munich in the final minutes of last season.Niclas Füllkru...MLB errors are on track to set a record low for the 3rd year in row

NEW YORK (AP) — Make no mistake, errors are becoming increasingly rare in the major leagues. There were just 2,459 errors entering the final weekend of the regular season, on track to finish as the fewest in a non-shortened year since 1960 — when there were just 16 teams. The per-game average of 0.52 will set a record low for the third straight season. Some are convinced standards have changed and more hits are awarded.“I believe that some of the balls that are hit that are called hits are clear errors,” YES Network broadcaster Michael Kay said. “I’ve seen it to an extent this year I’ve ever never seen before. … It’s insulting to real baseball fans.”New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso credits the rise of computer programs.“Defenses are super, super accurate with their field positioning,” he said. “Now with the scouting being so advanced, the metrics being so advanced as opposed to a guy having to move right or left, he’s just standing right there and then the ball’s right th...Jets know they must try to at least keep up with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ explosive offense

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Garrett Wilson agreed with Willie Gay’s assessment earlier this week that the New York Jets’ struggling offense appears to be a run-first bunch without Aaron Rodgers leading the way.Yep, the Jets wide receiver said, the Kansas City Chiefs linebacker has them pegged.“That’s exactly what we want to do,” Wilson said Friday. “We want to run the ball. We want to tote the rock. So, yeah, man, expect to see a lot of that.”Wilson’s mischievous grin as he walked away from the media scrum might have suggested otherwise, though.Either way — by ground or air — the Jets acknowledge they’ll need to at least keep up with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ explosive offense Sunday night if they expect to have any chance of winning.“We know what problems are going to arise this weekend,” Wilson said. “And it’s going to be our job to respond. We feel like we’ll be able to, for sure.”That’s a bit of a bold statement, considering th...How to get unemployment insurance as a furloughed federal worker
