DETROIT— The Warriors are signing 2022 draft pick Gui Santos to a three-year contract, league sources confirmed. The terms of the deal haven’t been released.Santos is expected to fill the Warriors’ vacant 14th roster spot, which needed to be filled by Thursday under the rules of the league’s collective bargaining agreement.The Warriors selected the 21-year-old forward out of Minas in Brazil 55th overall in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft.Santos spent his first season with the G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, where he averaged 12.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 26 minutes per game. (KRON) -- A Santa Rosa homicide victim's severed head was found along a creek two days after she was slain and decapitated, police revealed Monday.The Sonoma County Sheriff's coroner identified the victim Monday afternoon as 64-year-old Elvia Lopez-Arroyo of Santa Rosa. Police officers found her body inside a home on Pomo Trail on November 2. Her head -- and the killer -- were missing from the grisly crime scene. The Santa Rosa Police Department sent out an alert to the public on November 3 stating Luis Gustavo Aroyo-Lopez was at-large and dangerous. The suspected killer is the victim's 23-year-old grandson, police said."The initial investigation conducted by detectives from SRPD Violent Crimes Investigations (VCI) team revealed Luis Gustavo Aroyo-Lopez, a 23-year-old resident of Santa Rosa and blood relative of the victim, killed the victim in a targeted attack before leaving the scene with the female victim’s head. (KRON) -- A suspected burglar was shot by a resident at a home in Vallejo on Monday morning, according to the Vallejo Police Department. Vallejo PD responded to a residence on the block of Georgia Street and Montgomery Street at 9:45 a.m. Monday regarding a suspect shot by someone who lived in the home. (AP) — A former employee at a Big Ten football program said Monday it was his job to steal signs and he was given details from multiple league schools to compile a spreadsheet of play-calling signals used by Michigan last year.The employee said he recently shared the documents, which showed the Wolverines’ signs and corresponding plays — as well as screenshots of text-message exchanges with staffers at other Big Ten schools — with Michigan. He spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he feared the disclosures could impact his coaching career. The spreadsheet was compiled with details from a handful of coaches and programs across the Big Ten, the person said.
