3M Co. announced on Tuesday that another restructuring plan is in the works in an effort to reduce costs and improve cash flow.In an attempt to make 3M “stronger, leaner and more focused,” the global manufacturer will be cutting around 6,000 jobs worldwide, per a company news release, including about 600 in Minnesota.Most of the positions cut in the state will be corporate jobs in Maplewood, where the company is headquartered, said Tim Post, communications manager for 3M, in an email.This announcement comes on the heels of another round of layoffs the company announced in January, targeting 2,500 manufacturing roles.“To strengthen 3M for the future, today we announced actions that will reduce costs at the corporate center, further simplify and strengthen our supply chain structure, and streamline our go-to-market business models, which will improve margins and cash flow,” CEO Mike Roman said in the release.The company said it expects sales for 2023 to drop between two an...Plattekill traffic stop yields gun, over two kilograms of cocaine

RUTLAND, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Two Rutland residents were arrested in connection to a shooting that happened around 5 a.m. on Monday, according to the Rutland City Police Department. MOREAU, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two people were arrested following a reported home burglary in Moreau, according to New York State Police. On Monday, around 5:43 p.m., troopers responded to a home on Hilton Drive in Moreau for a reported burglary in progress. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Three Utica men have pleaded not guilty in connection with an officer-involved shooting in Saratoga Springs. Alexander Colon, Christopher Castillo and Darius Wright are each charged with third-degree attempted assault. Police say they were allegedly involved in a fight with Vito Caselnova that quickly evolved into a shooting last November. According to police, once they arrived on scene, they told the men to drop their guns. Caselnova allegedly did not drop his gun, police then fired several shots. ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Monday was the end of the 21-day deadline set by the EPA for the water contamination crisis in the City of St. Charles.St. Charles is at odds with Ameren over the issue. EPA directed the two sides to reach an access agreement to city property that would allow Ameren to address groundwater contamination from the Huster Road Substation.St. Charles Mayor Dan Borgmeyer said St. Charles and Ameren representatives met on Monday, but no agreement was reached."We're sitting down at the table with this supposedly shortly and negotiating, but that's still a long way away," Borgmeyer said.
