CAMAS, Washington (KPTV) — More than two months ago, Sherman Bynum and his friends decided they wanted to go to their Camas, Wash. prom in a World War II tank.Saturday night, they made it happen.“I think the quote that we’ve been repeating a lot today is, ‘today’s the day, man,’” Bynum said. “We’re feeling really good, and we woke up ready to go.”Bynum’s best friend, Sam Tetro, added, “We’ve been going back and forth about how nervous, but super hyped up that we are about it.”Bynum said he fell in love with tanks and got the idea to ride in one to his junior prom. Soon after, he stumbled across Steve Greenberg, who just so happens to own an M3A1 WWII tank in Portland. Transit Police are searching for a suspect in an assault at the Mass Ave MBTA station last week. On April 26 at 10:45 p.m., police say the suspect asked another man for money and to borrow a cell phone. The victim denied the request and was struck in the face with a closed fist. A dog in Milford, New Hampshire got into a real jam when he got his head stuck in a tree trunk. The dog was exploring the area on Saturday when he got into some trouble. Local fire crews responded and they were able to set the dog free without hurting him. A tractor-trailer rolled over on the ramp from the Mass Pike Eastbound to the I-290/Route 12 split in Auburn Tuesday morning, according to state police. Police say the truck rolled off the road and down an embankment near the highway. The driver was not injured. The truck is set to be removed Tuesday night after the evening commute to minimize the impact of closing the ramp. A falling piece of equipment at the Red Line’s Harvard Station struck a woman who was transported to the hospital for evaluation.The MBTA said the equipment was a utility box and that it “slid down a column” Monday evening and struck the woman.The area was cordoned off by T staff.The T said it is still working to determine what caused the equipment to detach and strike the passenger, who has not been identified.“We are working to determine what caused the equipment to detach from its mounting. TORONTO (AP) — Gordon Lightfoot, the folk singer-songwriter known for “If You Could Read My Mind” and “Sundown” and for songs that told tales of Canadian identity, died Monday. He was 84.Representative Victoria Lord said the musician died at a Toronto hospital.
