The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the discovery of a man's body inside a 55-gallon drum at Malibu Lagoon on Monday.Authorities say a park maintenance worker first saw the barrel floating near the Pacific Coast Highway bridge Sunday night."They got in a kayak to get it and brought it to shore," said LASD Lt. Hugo Reynaga. " Apparently it was too heavy and they didn’t want to open it, so they left it on shore."When a lifeguard arrived at work Monday morning, investigators say they swam out to retrieve the barrel, pulled it to shore, and then opened the top and made the gruesome discovery.A man's body was found inside a 55-gallon drum in Malibu Lagoon. Calenda is the beginning of a big party or celebration in their homeland, where Oaxacans lead the procession with images of St. James as a Mexican live band plays contagious music. But that is not sufficient access to satisfy the vocal cyclist lobby. The high school mountain bike teams quoted extensively in the article presumably wish to “sharpen their skills” on downhill trails, with banked curves to speed around and jumps to hop over. The park district assiduously avoids posting signs that advise everyone that the bike speed limit is 15 miles per hour. This is easily exceeded on now-ubiquitous e-bikes.One cyclist decries “Berkeley grumps” who seek to lim...
