(BCN) -- Remote public comment at weekly San Francisco Board of Supervisors meetings is here to stay, supervisors decided Wednesday. Supervisors voted on a meeting rules amendment that would preserve the board's interim policy, which first came about during COVID-19 shutdowns, to allow unlimited remote public comment at meetings. At first, seven supervisors voted "yes," though the motion failed since it required eight votes to be approved. Board President Aaron Peskin made a motion to rescind the item, since it was initially required to be approved by Saturday. (KRON) -- All eastbound lanes of State Route 37 were blocked after a collision Wednesday night. The crash happened just before 7 p.m. east of Lakeville Highway in Marin County and all lanes are now open again. The collision involved three vehicles and caused only minor injuries, according to California Highway Patrol. The westbound lanes had been blocked earlier but have since reopened, CHP said. (KDVR) — A 17-year-old is in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury after an accident on a popular mountain biking trail over the weekend.His father told FOX31 the trail was for downhill mountain bikers only, but hikers sent the teen flying off his bike, straight to the ICU at St. Anthony Hospital.On the Sluice trail at Floyd Hill Open Space in Clear Creek County, there have been many mountain biking memories for Colorado dad Brian Holmgren and his son Cayel.“It's one of his, one of his favorite trails, we’ve been there numerous times,” Holmgren said. “I would say this is probably every parent's nightmare.”Holmgren says Cayel is a junior national-level racer. STERLING, Colo. (KDVR) -- Firefighters in an Eastern Plains town, 175 miles northeast of Denver, are being credited with saving two dogs from a house fire.The Sterling Fire Department responded to a house fire last Thursday. The blaze fully engulfed the basement. The occupants were able to evacuate safely, but two of their dogs did not.Firefighters were able to pull both dogs out. The first, a pug, needed oxygen but recovered. The second, a black lab named “Lola,” was not breathing.
