CORTEZ, Colo. (KDVR) -- A Cortez Police Department officer was killed Wednesday morning after suspects shot at him following a traffic stop, according to police. One of the suspects was also killed at a second location.The officer has been identified as Sgt. Michael Moran.Around 11:25 a.m., the officer initiated the traffic stop on South Broadway, according to the Cortez Police Department. Shots were fired, and the officer was injured. He was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Additional shots were exchanged between the suspects and officers, police said. BOULDER, Colo. (KDVR) — The Boulder County district attorney said two men have been arrested in connection with a sex trafficking case involving teens and children as young as 11 years old across the Front Range.Angel Gomez Rubio was arrested in Texas on 19 counts, including five counts of human trafficking of a minor for sexual servitude. Fernando Pacheco was arrested on Nov. 24 on three counts, including human trafficking for sexual servitude and sexual assault on a child. Police have made an arrest after multiple law enforcement agencies raided that they called an illegal assisted living facility in Southwest Miami-Dade.Miami-Dade Police on Wednesday night confirmed the arrest of 65-year-old Otto Egea stemming from their ongoing investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his home, located on Southwest 122nd Avenue, earlier in the day.Investigators said the property was being operated as an unlicensed assisted living facility, with 30 people living inside.Moreover, police said, employees were working there without a medical license.7News cameras captured crews placing several patients in ambulances. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Federal Aviation Administration has been looking into an incident involving two planes at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport that happened back in February.In an initial statement, the FAA said preliminary information found FedEx Flight 1432 had been cleared to land on Runway 18-Left at AUS around 6:40 a.m. on a Saturday. That FedEx flight was cleared for its landing while the plane was still several miles from the airport.Shortly before its expected landing, the controller cleared Southwest Flight 708 to depart from the same runway, per the FAA."The pilot of the FedEx airplane discontinued the landing and initiated a climb out," FAA officials said in a statement.
